So much to learn...so little time ;-)

My husband is a wonderful MUSE! I have a husband that pushes me in my interests and ART! For a fabulous gift he gave me two weeks this year at QBL. How lucky am I? I'm packed and actually on my way..tonight I spend the evening in PA at my daughter's to help break the long 7-8 hour drive into two do-able lumbar days ;-)) I feel like my car has everything packed in it...possibly even a kitchen sink  lol lol (just kidding) I'm going to study with Nancy Crow and anyone that has studied with her KNOWS her supply list. Loads and LOADS of solid fabric....guess I meant yards and yards? lol
I'm having a hard time imagining me tackling two full weeks...so wish me luck.

Now to share what I'm having trouble dealing with:   Me not being able to be by my MUSE'S side this weekend....Friday we lost a very dear friend; my husband's best friend of over 50 years, in fact when I met Bill at 16 Rusty was part of the package, accept it or not, lol lol.  I am thankful my husband made it to MI to visit and be with him before he peacefully slipped away from us. I am glad my husband is with the family during this difficult time. My thoughts and heart are with them all.  I wish we could have figured out a feasible way for me to be there too.........and now just like my husband (my special muse) to call and remind me to move forward to continue on my art journey and to have fun creating at QBL. I'll try to keep you all updated during my experience.

So let's keep testing :-)

So just bought an app on the Ipad that supposedly will help with posting or blogging so I'm trying it out :-)
So wish it had more directives lol lol geeshhhhhhh new learning curves can be difficult, yet guess it keeps the mind going? Or young?
One can only hope???
Too bad I cannot figure out how to label the photo? Or even place it where I want? Oh well......enough of this experimenting for now I've got stuff to do!!!!
Enjoy! :-)

So testing testing....

So this is a test and have to be honest so far I'm not sure I'm going to like this... I'm trying to post via my new Toy...yup I'm calling my new Ipad "a toy!" sadly an expensive toy to me but ...oh well my hubby talked me into the purchase and I admit I am having fun with it!
I'm just not totally convinced yet if this is going to work for what WE were or are hoping it will help me accomplish??? My hubby is thinking I enjoy blogging, Facebook, following other quilt artist etc. And the web..thus heck the Ipad might turn out great???

Some of my set backs so far I think has been that though I started off years ago a total MAC person eventually schools replaced most Macs with PC's of some type and thus I am out of practice in the ways of what I will call the MAC WORLD.....lol

Anyway back to the Ipad....and this posting? I am typing on the touch keypad and there is very little editing choices from what I can see....so much to learn..I am sure there is some app to load on the Ipad that probably let's me create wonderful usual posts but for tonight this will have to suffice.
Okay so let's see if this even worked....here goes....wish me luck!!

It's July already?

Wonder where my past year went? I have completed one full school year of retirement! I must say the year flew by and I have no idea how I ever had time to work? My blessings this year have been multiple and thankfully continue flowing. I am fighting the same ole battles I see many of my favorites fiber artists seem to be participating in also....how does one have time for their ART while enjoying the many blessings of their life?
Presently I find Facebook is much easier to post to or keep up on, takes a moment to place a one-liner versus the time it sometimes takes to blog? I'm still thinking of getting an apple I-pad which might help out of easier blogging? My art for the time being has been to be helping my daughter with her cross country move along with a few quick visits to MI to celebrate lovely weddings (see photo of hubby and our lovely June bride Becca) among other family happenings and blessings.
I will sign off this posting as Bill and I load the car for another quick trip to PA. ( Bill's first time to see the new Laverty residence) We will celebrate the 4th of July by hopefully priming the bright pink, green and blue walls of Caleb's bedroom and then re-painting to his preferences. Helping create a special bedroom in his new PA house. Sounds like the perfect art for this granny to partake of at this time.
